Glitch
In a world increasingly ruled by technology and data, errors; those fleeting, beautiful mistakes we call glitches offer a rare moment of chaos within order. They fracture the expected, creating mesmerizing distortions and unexpected beauty. This collection is born from those moments: a celebration of imperfection and the artistry that can emerge when things don't go as planned.
Tailoring forms the backbone of the collection, but with a deliberate twist. Centered around a "stripe story," I use stripes as a tool to disrupt the viewer’s perception, stretching, compressing, and reorienting them to "glitch" the familiar codes of traditional preppy fashion. Layers and exaggerated proportions echo the feeling of a digital image slipping out of sync with itself, capturing the tension between structure and disorder. In this world, the original is just the starting point; it’s in the distortion that new possibilities are revealed.
